MEP Plumbing Designer / Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Plumbing Designer / Engineer with 2-6 years of MEP experience to join our team. This is a hands-on design role with real responsibility and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to projects from schematic design through construction.

You will work closely with senior engineers and project managers while developing the technical and coordination skills needed to take ownership of your scope as you grow within the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce design and construction documents for Plumbing systems using Revit/BIM and AutoCAD workflows
  • Perform engineering calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing appropriate to your discipline
  • Coordinate with other MEP disciplines as well as architectural and structural teams to maintain design integrity
  • Support project managers with technical input during client coordination, RFI responses, and submittal reviews
  • Participate in construction administration including site visits, RFI/submittal review, and punch list support
  • Contribute to internal quality control and coordination efforts
  • Continue developing knowledge of applicable codes and standards (FBC - Plumbing)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in MEP consulting, building systems design, or design-build environments
  • Proficiency in Revit; AutoCAD and BIM coordination experience are a plus
  • Working knowledge of building systems and applicable codes
  • EIT certification preferred; candidates interested in pursuing PE licensure or recently licensed as a PE are encouraged
  • Experience with commercial, residential, institutional, or mixed-use projects is a plus
  • Strong communication and coordination skills in a multi-discipline environment
  • Self-motivated and interested in growing technically and professionally
