Professional Experience:
Mr. Freire brings over 14 years of experience in engineering and the design of electrical systems for commercial and industrial facilities. His expertise includes the design of comprehensive electrical distribution systems, including normal and emergency power, standby generation systems, and uninterruptible power systems. He has also performed 40-year safety inspections and prepared associated reports, along with conducting site lighting photometric analyses, feasibility studies, photovoltaic system design, breaker coordination studies, arc-fault analyses, and peer reviews.
Throughout his career, Mr. Freire has been involved in all phases of project delivery, from initial planning and concept development through final design and construction administration. This experience provides him with a strong understanding of both design intent and practical field implementation. He approaches each project with a focus on efficiency, code compliance, and long-term system performance.
As a senior design professional, Mr. Freire is responsible for overall project planning, electrical systems design, and coordination with mechanical and other disciplines to ensure fully integrated building systems. He also supports construction-phase efforts, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and verifying that installations are consistent with project specifications and design intent.
